Part 3: Into the Night

Late into that evening, Aeoril and Mariel talked of the many wondrous things they had seen and done in their lives in and around the forest. Aeoril thrilled her with his many adventures of hunting, thieving for a living and sometimes even fighting, fleeing or hiding for his life because of some of the wild animals such as bore, bear and magical beasts.

Mariel told him of the glimpses she got of him in the forest when she would hide and watch him, knowing one day when the time was right they would be together. She amazed him with her tales of living in harmony with the good woodland creatures, both magical and mortal.

Part 2: A Mid-Morning Swim

Aeoril woke with the sunrise and ate some hard baked cakes he had in his backpack for breakfast along with a little leftover deer jerky from his last kill, washing them down with some water. “What should I do with myself today?” he wondered to himself lazily as he cleaned up the den and prepared himself to go out.

This time, he went with his bow and arrows slung over his back for he was planning on shooting something for a mid-day meal and dinner. None of his magical friends were about he noticed, but he did hear the ever-present chirping and movement of the many birds of all types around him and the rustling and occasional crashing of a multitude of wild animals in the forest.

Chapter 1: Of Forest and Alabaster Fastness

Part 1: Aeoril

Aeoril was a handsome youth, around 14 years old with a thick untamed shock of reddish-brown, wavy hair on his head and a hint of reddish moustache and beard just starting to grow on upper lip, cheeks and chin.

He never knew his parents, having grown up but a waif running half wild in a small village on the edge of a great forest. The people of the village tended to his needs until he became independent enough to make his way around by himself, and he mostly made his living by hunting, trickery, stealing, stealth and the kindness of the people in the village.

Sanbar Computing is a web and software development firm specializing in visually rich, technologically advanced and skillfully crafted solutions.

I hope you enjoy the content and look of my website and Blog. Most of my posts will be highlighting advanced coding techniques for browser based applet and application design.
